| Bavaria: 7/10 Stars I don't know exactly where my fondness for this beer comes from.... oh wait, it comes from my wallet. It is the cheapest import that I've ever found. It's a bit hoppy, but doesn't venture in to the area of dry and bitter. Worth a try. Blue Moon: 7/10 Stars A very simple wheat beer with a heavy orange citrus taste. I like it, but I can easily see how it may not appeal to others. It's worth a try if you've never had it, but I wouldn't buy a whole six pack due to how unusual it is. Blue Moon Pumpkin Ale: 4/10 Stars I'm sorry, but if the bottle says "pumpkin ale" on it, it should taste like pumpkin. If it was a better beer I would have deducted points for such a false advertisement. While it doesn't taste like pumpkin, it also doesn't taste good. You'd be wise to avoid this one. Bohemia: 5/10 Stars Somewhere in this bottle there is a very good beer trying to get out. Unforturnately, it is being held prisoner by the akward bitter taste that gets left in your mouth after every swig. Perhaps it would be better if you poured it into a glass to let it breath. Then again it might be too late for that as this beer is dead. Cooper's Sparkling Ale: 7/10 Stars With a name like sparkling ale, you'd expect it to be crystal clear. It's not. In fact, there are black things floating in it. Don't worry, I've googled it and they are suppose to be there. It has a nice ale flavor and it's pretty refreshing. Czechvar: 8/10 Stars This beer is the beer formally known as Budweiser in Europe. Guess who's better at making beer? These guys. You can find it at most grocery stores. Pick up a six pack; you won't be disappointed. This is how the American Budweiser should taste. Dogfish Head 60 minute IPA: 2/10 Stars I have a friend (who will remain annonymous, but you know who you are). This friend has completely opposite tastes from me. He loves this beer. When he recommends something to me there is a 100% chance that I'll hate it, but I'm a pioneer and willing to try new things. I guess I haven't learned to like IPAs yet. This just tastes like liquid bitter to me. I tried very hard to finish one bottle and just couldn't. There are five more in my fridge... free for anyone to take. |
